Reactivity & Fearfulness Rehab

Reactivity, Aggression & Fearfulness

In our experience there are very few truly aggressive dogs.

The majority of aggression or reactivity cases we deal with are rooted in fear.  Either the dog has had an historic experience that prevents it interacting appropriately, has been poorly socialised. with different environments, dogs or people, or there is an issue with leadership, leaving the dog no choice other than to step into the leadership role leaving it to make the decision on what is safe and what is not safe.

Simply put, the dog is put in the position of evaluating threats, "I need to take control and deal with anything I perceive as a threat because my human isn't".  This can result in a heightened state of alert - always on guard, or a retreat into fearfulness.  Either can produce what presents on the surface as aggression.

Our rehabilitation course consists of a 2 or 3 session series, (dependant on severity) which looks to explore and identify the reasons for aggression, reactivity or fearfulness, evaluates and addresses any issues with owner leadership that may be triggering an inappropriate response from the dog, and gives a clear pathway of practical techniques and exercises that improve communication, increase engagement and improve responsiveness with the goal of restoring relationship, and taking the burden of leadership off the dogs shoulders.

Guaranteed results or your money back!

Does our method work?  Absolutely.  We are so confident we will get results that if you follow our Rehab Training Protocol, and don't see any improvement, we will give you your money back. Whether it's anxiety or fearfulness, aggression toward humans, other dogs or both, we have an incredibly high success rate, but don't take our word for it, check out our reviews and you can see for yourself.

Lifetime Support Via Our Online Community

We also offer our customers lifetime support through our private online community where you can get advice from ourselves and other owners, and access live events and take part in Q & A sessions free of charge.

We do understand how life restricting and upsetting having a reactive dog is.  We have shared too many highly emotional moments with our clients, and we know how tough it can be, so if you are struggling with your dog's behaviour, and it's making life miserable, don't give up just yet.  Please contact us for an informal chat, and let's see if we can find a solution for you.

”We can't thank you enough! ”

I would like to sincerely thank Steve and Sharon for the significant improvement in our 16 month old Labrador.  The transformation from being anxious & reactive to a much calmer dog and a delight to walk has been amazing.  We can't thank this couple enough for all their hard work.

Thank you from Karen & Milo
